A 1953 Jaguar C-Type replica to go under the hammer

In February 2012, a replica of the renowned 1953 Jaguar C-Type will go under the hammer in Sydney at the Shannon’s Summer Classic Auction 2012. Auction experts estimate it to fetch around $200,000. Being a luxury car with brilliant engineering, the original vehicle won many laurels in its hey days, including the 1951 and 1953 Le Mans. Particular attention to details was taken to recreate this car exactly as it was in the early 1950s. Mr. Gavin King of the Concours Sportscar Restoration took the exact specs and measurements from the original model and surgically put together this replica, which the ultra-rich among us are jockeying to own. Well, regardless of who wins the auction, one thing is certain: it would be added to the lucky owner’s fleet of luxury cars.
