After recently announcing tripled profits, the luxury handbag manufacturer, Mulberry, is gearing up for international reach with a new hiring. It has now poached a new Chief Executive from Hermes, a French fashion house,in a move to step up its global ambitions.
Having also worked for both Nina Ricci and LVMH, the man in question, Bruno Guillon, is the current Managing Director of Hermes France. According to the sealed agreement, he will join Mulberryin March 2012. This will subsequently see the incumbent Chairman and Chief Executive of Mulberry, Godfrey Davis, move down the ladder to become a non-executive chairman after a 3-month handover period.
