A few years ago, an up-and-coming Oklahoma City-based architectural firm, Fitzsimmons Architects, designed a sensational project called the OKasian House. The two story contemporary home, completed in 2007 with a budget of $290 million, is situated in a tranquil part of Oklahoma City.
The OKasian House was the maiden effort of the design studio in the revitalized and bustling Downtown Oklahoma City. Located comfortably in the heart of the city, it embodies the essence of downtown living and the idea of home. This luxury estate serves as a design workshop, an architectural office and a home.
The site of this estate once served as a home to three buildings, which were demolished at some point in the eighties. Interestingly, that was enough to satisfy the architect’s strong belief in urban in-fill and the owners’ great interest in downtown living.
