One of Bermuda’s most impressive estates, Chelston, which was originally built from 1939 to 1941 for Carbon Petroleum Dubbs, is now available on the market for anyone with a cornucopian bank account. It has been listed at Christie’s International Real Estate website for a whopping $45 million.
Starting from 1964, the luxury estate served as the official Bermuda residence of the US Consul General for more than 30 years.
During that period, some of the most notable guests included President George Bush Snr. and Vice President Dan Quayle, Senator Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts, Senator John Kerry and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
