This beautiful home office was designed by Travis Price Architects for the renowned National Geographic Explorer-In-Residence, Wade Davis. Apart from having an enviable job at a time when the global recession has made many jobless, Davis also has the luxury of working from his amazing home office.
While most of us draw inspiration from light-filled rooms, Wade Davis sought to avoid large windows that would open to residential neighborhood. So, he opted for a cave-like environment that would help him to concentrate on his work.
A dome built above the desk ushers in subtle light from above. This dome is likened to the rotunda of the ancient temple at Delphi, and is filled by books.
