The Del Rey: New From Mulberry

The British brand Mulberry launched its new handbag as part of their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. The lucky girl is now American songstress Lana del Rey. The handbag, as well as Lana, combine an electric sense of style with classic details. The brand is hoping that this new addition to their celebrity-inspired purses will become “a modern classic: practical and refined.”

Lana del Rey commented that she loved the design, which in her own words is “a perfect mix between old school Hollywood and contemporary style.”

Back in February, when Del Rey was announced, Mulberry described it as “a considered, understated and perfectly proportioned bag, the Del Rey has a silhouette that implies structure yet it is soft and tactile in the best Mulberry tradition.” The satchel has a four inch top handle and costs $1,250 and is available in Deer Brown, Petrol, White, Black, and Burgundy.
