Hublot has joined forces with the Arturo Fuente cigar company to create a timepiece that ties both luxurious articles, the new King Power Arturo Fuente edition.
The King Power Arturo Fuente will be have a limited edition of only 100 pieces in gold and 200 pieces in microblasted ceramic. It has a 48-mm case with a bezel that is held by six black-PVD titanium screws, a crown and push-pieces with black rubber inserts. The dial’s color scheme is similar to the look of a brown cigar wrapper. The X emblem on the subdial is thanks to Fuente’s “X” emblem, from its Opus X cigar band. The movement is Hublot’s automatic HUB4100 chronograph caliber, with 252 components, 27 jewels, and a 42-hour power reserve. The strap is made of hornback alligator skin, decorated with beautiful white stitching.
If you wish to purchase it, be prepared to shelf $44,700 for gold and $24,000 for ceramic timepiece. It is sold inside a luxurious cigar humidor developed especially for the King Power Arturo Fuente; one that mixes Macassar ebony, a traditional material used in humidors, with carbon fiber, used more commonly in the automotive and aeronautics industries as well as in watches. Inside the humidor, with the timepiece comes a selection of specially blended Fuente Fuente Opus X cigars.
The Arturo Fuente cigar company was founded in 1912 and nowadays it is considered to be one of the top purveyors of hand-rolled cigars outside of Cuba. Their most famous cigars is the Fuente Fuente Opus X, the first Dominican cigar.
